Team Spirit Are TI 2026 Champions
Team Spirit have made Dota 2 history once again, defeating TEAM VISION 3–2 in an unforgettable Grand Final to claim their third Aegis of Champions.
The International 2026 has officially come to an end, and Dota 2 has a new chapter in its history.
After an intense five-game Grand Final at Shanghai's Oriental Sports Center, Team Spirit defeated TEAM VISION 3–2 to become the first organization in Dota 2 history to win The International three times.
The victory is especially significant because Spirit did not have an easy road through the tournament. After falling to VISION twice earlier in the event, the team fought through the lower bracket and earned one final opportunity to face their biggest obstacle.
Team Spirit Have Done What No Other Team Has Done
Team Spirit entered The International 2026 already carrying one of the strongest legacies in modern Dota 2. Their championships at TI 2021 and TI 2023 had already established the organization among the game's greatest.
But the 2026 championship pushed that legacy into completely new territory.
Team Spirit are the first organization to win The International three times.
Their latest victory also created another remarkable individual record. Carry player Yatoro and offlaner Collapse became the first players in Dota 2 history to lift the Aegis three times.
Spirit Had to Fight Their Way Back
The story of Team Spirit's TI 2026 run becomes even more impressive when looking at how difficult their path was.
TEAM VISION entered the tournament as one of the biggest favorites and immediately demonstrated why. VISION went undefeated through the Group Stage and secured an early Playoffs position.
Spirit, meanwhile, were forced to take a more difficult route. After a strong start to the Group Stage, they lost to VISION and later suffered another setback against Nigma Galaxy, forcing them through the Elimination Stage.
Spirit started strongly but were unable to secure a direct path through the Group Stage after losses to VISION and Nigma Galaxy.
Spirit defeated Team Resilience in three games to keep their championship hopes alive.
Spirit defeated Iron Wing before meeting VISION again. VISION won that series and sent Spirit into the lower bracket.
Spirit eliminated Team Liquid, BoomBoys and Team Yandex to earn their final rematch against VISION.
Five Games. One Aegis. One Historic Finish.
The Grand Final delivered exactly what fans hope for from a TI championship series: momentum swings, adaptation, pressure and a deciding fifth game.
Spirit opened the series strongly by taking Game 1. VISION answered in Game 2, bringing the series level. Spirit then regained the advantage in Game 3, putting themselves one win away from the championship.
But VISION refused to go quietly.
A dominant Game 4 from VISION forced the tournament into a winner-take-all fifth game.
Spirit overcame an early advantage from VISION and eventually secured the deciding victory.
The final game lasted roughly 64 minutes, making the conclusion a true endurance test for both teams.
Spirit's ability to remain composed through the late-game chaos ultimately separated the two teams.
The Team Behind the Third Aegis
The championship roster combined experienced TI winners with players experiencing their first Aegis victory.
One of the defining carry players of his generation. With this victory, Yatoro became a three-time TI champion.
Another member of Spirit's legendary championship core. Collapse also secured his third Aegis.
Larl added another TI championship to his career, becoming a two-time winner.
The championship was a particularly special moment for not me, who claimed his first Aegis in his TI debut.
rue also captured his first TI championship as part of Spirit's historic 2026 roster.
Former Spirit captain Miposhka returned to the team as a coach and became a champion in a new role.
Team Spirit's Legacy Gets Even Bigger
Dota 2 has seen legendary organizations come and go, but winning The International three times is an achievement that now belongs exclusively to Team Spirit.
What makes the accomplishment even more interesting is that Spirit did not dominate every stage of TI 2026. They had setbacks, lost important series, and repeatedly found themselves fighting from difficult positions.
Instead of collapsing after those losses, they continued adapting until they reached the only match that mattered at the end: the Grand Final.
For Yatoro and Collapse, the victory adds another chapter to one of the most remarkable player legacies in competitive Dota 2.
For Larl, it adds another championship. For not me and rue, it creates the beginning of their own TI-winning stories. And for Miposhka, it demonstrates that his impact on Team Spirit extends beyond his years as an active player.
🏆 Congratulations, Team Spirit
The International 2026 ends with Team Spirit standing at the top once again.
A five-game Grand Final, a 64-minute decider, a lower bracket comeback and a historic third Aegis have given Dota 2 fans another unforgettable TI story.
Team Spirit are the TI 2026 champions — and Dota 2 has its first three-time TI-winning organization.
